THE APUAN ALPS

FONTEVIVA, AS AUTHENTIC AS ITS LAND

Featuring a rugged morphology, with deep valleys and steep slopes, the Apuan Alps are
one of the most beautiful and unique mountain areas in Italy, a place where nature and culture have
been in perfect harmony for centuries. Strabo called these peaks the “lunae montes”, meaning lunar mountains.
The Apuan Alps contain one of the largest marble deposits in the world, which, at first glance, creates the
illusion of snow due to its brilliant white colour and attracts sculptors and artists from around the globe.
The mountains also have Karst caves, the realm of expert speleologists, and high peaks with altitudes
close to 2,000 metres. It is a pristine environment with strong contrasts, in which nature still holds sway.
Perhaps it is for this reason that the water that flows from the Apuan springs is so pure, light and clear.

Authentic, like the region where it originates.

SPRINGS

ALL THE PURITY OF A PRISTINE REGION

This is how the water from the Fonteviva spring has always been described by the area’s inhabitants, who
gladly walked the trail to the spring to refresh and revive themselves. Fonteviva water originates at a high elevation on
the slopes of Mount Belvedere, in the heart of the Apuan Alps Park, amidst pristine nature. Microbiologically pure and
light, the water embodies the very best of this extraordinary region, offering the unique properties of absolute purity
and low sodium content. For this reason, many people choose this water as part of a balanced diet. With a fixed residue
of less than 50 mg, Fonteviva is categorized as a “very low mineral content” water as established by the Ministry of Health.

“That fresh, light water that is such a pleasure to drink…”
